Trang Due Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the planning of Vietnam’s industrial parks in Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2006 with an initial planned area of 150 hectares. .On November 13, 2007, Saigon – Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, referred to as SHP (belonging to Kinh Bac Group) was granted the Certificate of Investment Registration for Development of Phase I of Trang Industrial Park Due with an area of 187 hectares.
On February 1, 2008, Trang Due Industrial Park was adjusted to increase the planning area from 150 hectares to 400 hectares according to Official Dispatch No. 180/TTg-CN of the Prime Minister. Then, in 2014, SHP continued to be granted an Investment Certificate for the Phase 2 construction investment project of Trang Due Industrial Park with a planning area of 214 hectares. Thus, the total area of phase 1 and phase 2 that SHB is licensed to invest in is about 401 hectares.
Initially, Trang Due Industrial Park was planned in Hong Phong commune, An Duong district, Hai Phong city, which was outside the Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Economic Zone. However, to encourage investment attraction in Trang Due industrial park, on June 27, 2013, in Decision No. 39/2013/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister agreed to expand the Dinh economic zone. Vu – Cat Hai, accordingly, a total of 400 hectares of land area of Trang Due industrial park is included in the general planning of the Economic Zone. However, after that, Trang Due industrial park was adjusted to reduce the area from 401.83 hectares to 389.77 hectares (down 12.06 hectares), which is the area to build worker housing for the project. belongs to LG Group (Official Letter No. 2229/TTg-KTN dated December 12, 2016 of the Prime Minister).
Based on the success of Trang Due Industrial Park phase 1 and phase 2, Hai Phong city has asked the Prime Minister to continue expanding Trang Due Industrial Park phase 3. On March 25, 2021, the Prime Minister agreed to add 687 hectares of land in 04 communes An Tien, Truong Tho, Truong Thanh and Bat Trang, An Lao district to the boundary of Dinh Vu – Cat Hai economic zone for construction. Construction of Trang Due industrial park phase 3. Currently, Kinh Bac Group is requesting to continue investing in the construction of phase 3 of the industrial park and is being considered and approved by relevant authorities. If approved, the total area of 03 phases of Trang Due Industrial Park will be 1,076.77 hectares.
